Gerbil baby

25 days ago my gerbil had 6 babies. At first all the babies were normal. A few days ago I noticed that one of the babies is weak and smaller than the rest. He also has trouble walking. I also do not see him nurse or eat any food. I was wondering what is wrong with him and if there is any thing I could do to help him. Thank you so much. p.s. This is my and their first litter.

Congrats! Sorry to hear of your trouble with your smallest pup. Just support it and give it some extra sunflower seeds so that it isn't outcompeted for food. You can sometimes have a runt in the litter and you may lose that one.

I truly haven't encountered many runts, but when I did they didn't usually make it past 6 weeks no matter what I did. Best of luck and make sure that that pup eats.
