My Hamster got WORSE!

Hello,
Thank you for your advice. My hamster was doing so much better until tonight. She wa more active and even eating. Now, she is acting dead. I can hardly tell when she's breathing and she can't hold herself up and she's sleeping on her side. We have the antibiotic the doctor gave us and it had seemed to work. I am very upset and don't know what I can do to help her.I put her in a shoebox to get her out of the cage. She doesn't seem to like the new bedding I bought for her.But all I had was cedar so I bought Carefresh. She has still got horrible diarreah and I extremely worried. Please write back a.s.a.p.

Hi Ashley,

Perhaps the wet tail is really catching up with her now, and she is extremely weak.  Wet tail takes a lot out of hamsters.  While she is in the shoebox, clean out the soiled areas of her cage, and place her back in it.  She needs to be in a familiar place.  Keep giving her the medicine, and as soon as you can, bring her to your vet.  Good luck.
