I dont know whats wrong

QUESTION: I have a dwarf hamster and her name is Oreo. She is 2 years old and has she has a red skin on her stomach and whit secretion (like white stuff) coming out of her pee hole. I am not really sure what is wrong with her. I have not changed types of bedding or food lately. Thank you for your time and if you could possibly help

QUESTION: Yes she is drinking water and eating normal. She seems to be fine besides the stuff i mention.

Hi Kristen,

    Even though female hamsters become sterile around 14 months of age, some do not. The white stuff is a sign that she is in heat. As for the red skin on her stomach, this area should be kept an eye on. If the area should get bigger or start to have discharge coming from it, then she should be seen by a vet.
