Cat litter material for hamsters

Question
Hello, we have been using a product for hamsters called Kay-kob, which is made of corn cob, with good results.

However we have about 10 boxes of a similar product called "field fresh", this product has been discontinued but was manufactured as a cat litter. We have been using this product with our hamsters with incredible succes, since it forms clumps and absorbs much better.
It is also made from corn cob and is exactly as the Kay-kob. We asked the manufacturer and they say the only ingredientes they use is corn cob, mineral oil, and guar gum.
Is this product safe for my hamsters?, they don't seem to mind.

Answer
Hey!

I was wondering were the heck did you get that stuff! it works great with little Hammies, really they probably can't even tell the difference.  The only thing you should worry about is if your Ham starts to eat it rapidly then that might mean your cooking isn't to good....If your Ham begins to sneez do the same just remove it, and put in Aspen or normal Corn Cob.

Hope it helped!
