Question
she is about 1 yr old. her name is nina and my daughters favorite pet because it is hers. She plays with her quite often and we just recently got another hamster about 1 month ago they had them in a cage together a couple of times. Mom said no keep them in separate cages because we wernt sure on the sex of the new one (which is now MIA) but any how nina is bleeding a dark red blood and i want to know if she could be having babies she is a winter white dwarf hamster.

Answer
Hi Reneta,

I take it from the names that your hamsters are both females? If so and Nina is a year old and hasn't been with a male then she couldn't be pregnant and needs to be taken to a vet as soon as possible.

If Mia is a male, then it would be possible that Nina is getting ready to have babies. It takes 18 days from the time they mated for the female to have her babies.
Does Nina look fat?
