Question

Present Day Jack
I rescued a bearded dragon from a Reptile House about mid May, 2009. My friend got a bearded dragon about 4-5 days later then I did. We have different types of beardies, his is the common inland dragon, and I got a Red Phase Inland Dragon, honestly I don't know the difference except for the shades of red on him. But now to the point, hes half the size as the other, has perfect lighting/Heat lamps UV too. I feed him crickets 3 times a week. Recently he hasn't "ran" after a cricket or any food for that matter. He could be sick but I don't know, and hes a very loyal beardie, never bit once or opened his mouth at me. He lays in shredded Walnut sand, with a basking granite rock, and a dugout for sleep. So my question is, after giving you all the up-to-date info, Why isn't my bearded dragon developing correctly?

Answer
Hello Brian, first off you need to change the bedding walnut crushed or not is not good if they digest the material. He will need to see a vet if you think he is sick at all, sometimes a bearded dragon comes from a relatively smaller family or he can be a dwarf dragon.
