QUESTION: I think I may need a new UVB light, but she has been growing some. Just not a lot. She's about 4 months old and her body's only about 2 and a half inches. She gets about 30 minutes in the sun a day, unless it's raining or super cloudy and cold. And, she has proper lighting in the tank, I just got new lights 4 months ago when I got her. Could she just be a slow grower, or do I need to buy a better UVB/UVA light? Also, What are the best lights out there?

Feeding: She seems to want to eat less lately (about 5-8 crickets and sometimes a super worm (head cut off) a day, but no vegetables), but she's not shaking and I dust her crickets with a calcium supplement (Fluker's Reptile Calcium Supplement).

ANSWER: Hello, without UVB she will not develop right. If she gets the proper heating, lighting, and nutrition, she should be fine. I find reptiglo to be a good brand.

QUESTION: About when would she start eating vegetables? I've seen some that eat them when they get to be juvie-sized and some that start younger, but I don't think she's ever eaten them before I got her, either. I've been looking online and I've tried everything. I even separated the veggies from everything else and all she does is try to run away. The only thing she's eating is crickets and a cut-up super worm here and there. Basically, anything that moves. For exercise, to make bath time fun, I put a small fish (no bigger than the space between her eyes, just in case she caught it) into the sink after I bathed her. She had soooooo much fun trying to catch it. It was too fast of course, and the fish died of brain damage and stress shortly after, but she got a lot of exercise.
I took her outside today and she ran all over the place. I just don't know why she's not eating the vegetables. Any ideas? Is she just too young?

Answer
Hello, there's always some kind of trouble getting baby dragons to start on vegies. Some way are to try hand feeding it to them or only offer the vegies for a day or two. I have found both to work and sometimes as they age they will just start eating it on their own.
