Eggs and diet

Hi, I recently acquired a 2 year old bearded dragon and I have a few questions I was hoping you could help me answer.

The first is on eggs, about 1 month after she got here she laid 24 infertile eggs, her previous owner said that she had never done that before. How often should I expect this to happen and is there anything special I should be feeding her or doing for her?

Secondly, I am unsure on what and how much I should be feeding her. When she came to me she was getting 3 superworms every other day and salad on the opposite days. She still seemed really hungry so I started feeding the salad everyday and 7-8 superworms everyday but she still acts like she is starving, especially after laying the eggs, now she go crazy trying to get out of her aquarium whenever I open it and is always looking for more worms.

I have never owned a reptile before and the more I read about them the more confused I get because of all of the conflicting information out there about them. I would appreciate as much information as you can give me. I have called around and there are no vets that specialize in reptiles anywhere in my city, the closest one is 5 hours away and they didn't return my call.

Hello, when it comes to infertile eggs she may only lay them once. She could possibly have more but you shouldn't have to give her extra attention for it. Just remove the eggs when they are laid. She will be exhausted after laying her eggs so make sure that you have food and water around for here. Water must be cleaned daily. Don't expect her to be laying anymore though, she should be done laying. She should be fed 2-3 times a day. You can have her greens around daily and keep feeing her the worms daily also. Keep limiting her to the amount of superworms every other day, if you feel she can eat a few more feel free to give her more. Just be careful not to over feed her, a few a day should be fine. If you make sure she is getting the right calcium intake with her diet, her enclosure is kept clean along with her, keeping her hydrated, and making sure she has everything she needs you should have to worry about her getting sick.
