My brothers bearded dragon Lizard.

Question
My brother got his bearded dragon lizard about a month ago and when he got him, the lizard was about 8 months, hence nine months now. We're afraid that he is close to dying, if not dead (it's hard to tell with the lack of movement) because his beard is jet back, his tail is black, but his head is incredibly pale and his back has lost some colour too. We went to the pet shop which we had bought him from and talked the man there who knew about the beardies. He said that a blast of heat might get him out of it; so he told us to get inside his tank up to 30 degrees Celsius, and he gave us a heat bulb to put on him, which we have kept on him for the past few hours. He also said that it could be a form of hibernation, but I thought that hibernation only took place in winter. We came back and the colour on his back had improved but his beard and head colour had made no change. My father had stayed home to watch over him and he told us that he had moved a bit, which gave us a bit of hope, what with his returning colour also, but it seems that since then he has progressed to worse. Some sort of liquidy substance came out of his mouth, which had a red tinge to it, so we all assumed that it was blood. Every so often he lifted his head and his mouth gapped open, as if he was straining for air We're really at a loss concerning what we should do, we're afraid to move him for fear of making him cold, and my brother has lost hope, but I just cant see how this could have happened in such a short space of time. All help would be greatly appreciated. I'm sorry if these questions sound trivial, but I could'nt think of anything else to do.
Thank you.

Answer
Hello, i am glad you came to me for this. I have somewhat been in this situation and i know it is heartbreaking to see a bearded dragon in this kind of condition. I think i can really help, he may be dehydrated and needs water. the best idea would to drip bits of water droplets on his nose. He could be acting up from the lack of heat which should be about 85Degrease. You did say you had talked with the pet store, the man said he may be in hibernation which for your brothers bearded dragon is untrue. You are correct, it does occur in the cold months. He needs emergency medical help which means he must be taken to the vet right away! Lastly i can say that the bleeding from his mouth will end his life if not taken care of. I can tell you what had happened to me, i hope it will help you because it is a bit like your situation. When i had bought my 2nd bearded dragon from out of state he came in a small box almost dead and smelled horrible. I was sure he was about to die when i had placed him in his habitat. There was no movement much like your brothers bearded dragon. I dripped water on his head, he would not drink it. I noticed that he still had enough energy in him to barely drag his body across his enclosure to dunk his head in the water. Until then he had recovered fully. I hope this had helped you and your brother.

REMEMBER: he must see a vet. I only do this in few important cases but if you'd like i may be able to help you further if you update me with what happens next. Here is my email:
