what is the right age for a male shihtzu can be used for a stud?

Hi Kathy,

The "right age" is subjective.  I'm of the opinion that you want to make sure your male is physically and mentally healthy before turning him to stud.   Hips, eyes, skin and temperament play a big part of the overall condition of your male.  I would wait 1.5 to 2 years to breed.
