Itching/Scratching Pregnant Female

Hi* From time to time, my dog has had some very low scratching, but she is pregnant now and now in week four is scratching like crazy.  I have concerns with the puppies.  Is she possibly scratching because of an allergy to a puppy?  And will the histamine level increase effect the puppies?  I would think it would have to.

What are you feeding your dog?  Food (and treats) are on the top of the list for allergies and causing scratching. A fish based diet and oils will help.

With the scratching, is there hair loss?  Have you had her checked for mange or mites?
