Question
Whats up, im Juan im 15 years old I live in Denton Tx I have a male pitbull puppy named Trigger thats about 13 weeks old and I have a few problems that I need help on. Okay well my dog got out and he was biting some little kids, not really hard but just playin around thank god, he's not a mean dog but I was wandering if there was some way I could stop his biting because he does it very often and I don't want him biting anyone or anything that he's not suppose to when he gets older. also could you tell me some ways it to showing the dogs that certain things are worng when he does them because I heard hitting your dog won't do anything and my firend does it to his dogs and there not that mean. Anyway that shows the dog that what he is doing is worng, I tired the water bottle but it dosen't seem to work. Also ways in which showing your dog that your the dominant one becuause my dog was the first one born and he is very dominant, he get use to things real fast that other dogs are afriad of like putting there head out the window my dog got use to it the first time he got on the car. One more thing if its possible how to get my dog not to act so hiper to be calm. Well thanks

really appreciate it.

Answer
Dear Juan,

Thanks for the interesting questions. Play biting is normal behavior. GO to my website, http:howsbentley.com, and sign up for the mailing list. There you can download free play-biting instructions.

Basically, you're asking me how to train your dog. I'd love to answer you but I'd have to write a book! Invest in a good book about puppy training. Patricia McConnell has some good books.  Good Luck!
