Question
what happens if your blue heeler bark and cry when you leave the room and how do you get it to clam down and when you put her in her crate at night when you are sleeping what do I DO TO MAKE HER STOP

Answer
Behaviors that you would like to decrease, like attention/demand barking, should be ignored totally - no eye contact, no conversation, no scolding.  Just walk away.  Only return to the room when she is quiet.  Never let her out of the crate when she is barking.

Not sure where her crate is, but if you put in in the bedroom with you at night will she calm down?  Play some calming music - check out the "Through a Dog's Ear" CD to help her relax.

Heelers need lots of exercise.  Is your girl getting plenty of physical activity so she's tired at night?  A long walk or a game of chase the ball before bedtime can help.  Mental stimulation through training and food dispensing toys are great, too.

You don't say how old the dog is or how long you've had her.  If this is a new behavior for a dog you've had for a while, please visit your vet to be sure she's healthy.  If this is a new pup, these are growing pains.  Be sure to ignore the behaviors you don't like, give praise and attention to behaviors you DO like and manage the situation so you can get some sleep.
