Question
he constantly tries to bite me ( for the most part playfully) and will chew at the bottom of my pant legs and will steel my shoes to munch on...help??

Answer
Get your shoes off the floor!!  Seriously, that's the solution at this age, because puppies think anything they find belongs to them!  Don't leave toys around either - instead, take them out when you want to play with him, then put them back.  If he snags you, do what another dog would do - yelp and then take all your attention away.  Gradually, he should learn to inhibit his bite.  By taking all the attention away, I mean no eye contact, no talking, and no physical pushing or anything.  Labs need play with other dogs, too, to teach these lessons.  Go to puppy class or put him in a dog day care a couple of times per week for a while.  You won't be sorry - a tired pup is a good pup;-)
