Question
Hello.   My puppys name is Meadow.  She is 5 months old and I havd had her for 2 months.  She sleeps with me all of the time.  Today at 2 different times she urinated once and had a bowel movement once.  She is acting like herself, no signs of pain and going to the bathroom as she regularly does no changes in her life and eats Puppy chow complete nutrition.  Please help me about my baby! Thanks and be blessed.

Answer
Hi Brandie;
I am not certain of what you are asking.
Did she go in your bed, and is this what you are asking about, or how many times she went?
Going in your bed would probably be because she can't get down, or is having these bowel movements and peeing in her sleep.
I have had a couple that pee the bed in their sleep, just like some children do.
At 5 months, she may not have that much control over her organs.
If she is housebroken, and you think she is having these movements before she can have time to get off the bed and get to her potty place, she could have a bladder or kidney infection or some other health problem that is causing this.
Is her stool the right consistency, or softer or harder than usual.
It may hurt her to jump off your bed.
She is small, and she is a baby, so she may need some assistance getting down.
Often when they jump off too high a pace, it will hurt their back, and naturally they will not want to hurt themselves again, or cause pain by aggravating what is already hurt.
For a 5 month old small dog puppy, the height of a normally high bed may be high enough to hurt her.
I have a hassock nect to my bed for my litle Lhasa to get up and down. He is older and starting to bet Arthritis problems, so he can no longer jum on and off my bed withour problems.
does this help any at all?
If you can clarify the problem more, I will be glad to try and help.
I doubt this is orneriness. It sounds like there may be some pain with the getting on and off the bed, or a health problem with her little organs.
