fixing a female dog

Our dog is approx. 91/2 years old, part dalmation and ???, she was a stray. Is it safe to have her fixed at this age?

Yes, it is usually safe to spay at this age. Your veterinarian will want to do a blood workup first to be sure that all organs are functioning normally so that there shouldn't be any problem using anesthesia. If she should need a teeth cleaning, this would be an ideal time to do it.
