Only pees when I talk

Question
My dad has a dog, shepard of some sort not sure exaactly. EVERYTIME I come over the dog gets extremely excited and whines and runs around but won't come to me and when he finally does he pees. He's usually okay after the first but sometimes just when I'm talking to him or petting him he'll pee, then when you yell at him he pees even more! He was abandoned and abused as a puppy so I try not to yell at him too much but how do I stop him from peing on the floor all the time. The weird thing is it's only me my dad says he never does it for anyone else.

Answer
this sounds like submissive peeing. but without an observation of the behavior and your response it would be difficult to know for sure. try getting lower when you first greet the dog. crouching down may not be so intimidating, also use a food reward to treat the dog when it comes to you, and does not pee. you can also try having your dad walk up to you with the dog. this could provide the support the dog needs. but this is all speculation counsulting an animal behavioralist, or trainer for assistance would be recomended. contact your vet for a referal.
