Question
Hi there, I have an issue at home with one of our 3 dogs.  In the last 4 months we have acquired a new lab x staffy female (5 mths of age) that is having issues mixing with the 2 other dogs we have. One dog, a male toy poodle (13 yrs) doesn't like her at all and tends to make lots of noise at her and she stays away most of the time.  The other dog though a Female Bedlington Terrier (7 yrs)tends to bare the brunt of the new dog all the time by being continually licked and pawed in the face.  She actually does this inside the other dogs mouth also.  The Beddlington has become quite on edge with this and is now getting to the stage where fights are imminent.  I can't even leave them together even in the case of me wanting to go to the shops as anything could happen when I'm away.  I'm just about at my witts end with what to do.  Do you have any ideas? Many thanks Cathy

Answer
Hi Cathy..i wish i could do more for you from here, but your dog needs to be evaluated. It could be an anxiety thing or a domination thing or something totally different. I would need to see the dog. Keep in mind, that dogs of the same sex often do not get along and your Bedlington may lose her patience soon. Try to find a good behaviorist in your area..one that does not use harmful methods or devices. They should do a free evaluation for you..good luck
