Female shiba Inu

I have a boy & girl Shiba Inu. The female just turned a year in July & is in heat for her second time. She has not been bleeding for two days, but our male dog is all over her. Can she get pregnant after she bleeds or only during? She is also all over him... She is too young for this!

Usually dogs are fertile between the eleventh and the fourteenth day of the heat cycle.  But there are many exceptions to the rule just as in human life....so it is probably a good idea to separate them or spay/neuter them if you don't want puppies.
