emaciated puppy found

Question
What can we do for a puppy found on side of road - all skin and bones, about 4 months?  We will take to vet in morning, but can we help him tonight?  We have given a small amount of dry dog food, he is starving, but not thirsty - we feel so bad.  He may not make it long, he is so bad.

By now I am sure you have taken it to the Veterinarian and gotten an opion and are doing what you can for the puppy.
Bless you for taking this little one in and trying to help it.
I hope it is going to be alright. These little ones can survive quite a bit of abuse.
Just feeding a good diet and getting medical attention is all you can do.
As long as he can take food, and keep it down, then probably he will do alright.
I would feed small amounts and feed more often until his stomach will handle larger feedings.
I would keep him on at least 4 feedings a day until his weight picks up.
