Chocolate Lab Marks in House

Hi Karen

My brother has a 2yr old male chocolate lab that marks in the house. He does it more often when my dogs are around and somtimes, he marks inside the kitty box.  Other than moving the kitty box is there something else that can be done to discourage the dog from doing this.

The dog should be neutered if he isn't already, and he needs to go through housebreaking with a crate again. The last may not help, however, if he is marking because he is dominant. In that instance (or if his behavior cannot be changed), he should wear one of those male belly bands while in the house. http://www.showpaps.com/bellybands.html
