my sister has a 8 month st bernard and i have a 12 week newfoundland the problem is the saint bernard is allways pinning the newfoundland on her back and either bites neck or face never draws blood but is this playing or dominance

Perhaps a little of each.  I just saw a bunch of this.  today I sent a 15 month old Lab away to service dog school.  She did a lot of that to the 7 week old puppy we picked up Saturday.  Some puppies don't accept the dominance of larger dogs.  I remember one very strong willed little female and how a couple of larger Shepherds had her down on her back every time I looked.  Be quick to step in if the larger dog starts any shaking.
