Question
My family dog (Yorkie) recently had a litter of 4 puppies 2 male 2 female. just a few days ago I took one male and one female home to live with me (they are almost 9 weeks old now). Is this a bad idea? I have been reading mixed feelings on this.  Thank you for your time!!

Answer
Jesse, it's generally not a good idea to raise two puppies together, whether they are littermates or not, because they tend to bond more to one another than they do their owners. This can make them more difficult to train. I would recommend keeping them separated except for short play times that are supervised by you. Spend time with each of them separately each day, training, walking, playing, etc. After they are both obedience trained, you can start allowing them to be together more.
