Question
how do i get muscles on my dog he is 1year and 6months i would like to buy some muscle pills but i don't know where to get them from

Answer
Skylier, you should not give your dog 'muscle pills.' In fact, I don't know of any that are approved for use in dogs, anyway. You didn't say what breed he is, but I'm assuming he's probably a large breed, in which case, he is still growing and maturing at just 18 months of age, so you should be more concerned with keeping him at an ideal weight to minimize stress on his growing bones and joints.

You can, however, exercise him to build muscle. Taking him for daily walks that last at least 30-45 minutes, and go up/down hills is one way. Swimming is an excellent form of exercise. You can also get him used to carrying a back pack, and put weight in it that he can carry on these walks. To start out with, you should use very little weight, and gradually build it up as he becomes stronger. I cannot say how much you should use without knowing his breed, though. You can also teach him to pull a cart or sled, and weigh it down as he becomes stronger. Agility classes are good for building endurance.

If your dog is healthy, he is going to appear muscular. Feeding him a high quality dog food, in addition to appropriate exercise, will contribute to his appearance. I would suggest that you take a few minutes to read my dog food page, located at http://dogfoods.angelfire.com
