dog leg pains

Can you give a female great dane a advil pill if it has leg pains ?

Answer
NO, never!  All the modern pain killers destroy the dogs' liver.  The only thing you can give them is the old stand by, buffered aspirin.  The dose is 5 mg for every pound every 8 hours.  Thus a regular 325 mg tablet is about right for a lab, but a little small for a Great Dane.  

If the problem persists, you should see a vet.
