Birth Date

What's your best guess of the exact date that my dog was born?  He's now about 10 years old. He's a lab mix and weighs 90 - 110 pounds.  From old vet records, I know that he weighed 30 pounds on 8/21/98, and that he weighed 25 pounds on 8/7/98.

Hi Steve,

Because your dog is a mixed breed, not a purebred dog knowing what he weighed as a puppy can't help you determine his exact birthday.  This is because of the the variable rates of growth between breeds.

Really though, because there are many dogs who do not follow their breed standards, even if he was a purebred dog, I doubt you could figure out his exact birth-date by weight.  

If it's at all helpful, weighing 25 pounds on 8/21/98 would put him at approximately 10 weeks old at that point. You can estimate your dog was born in the beginning of June, or the end of May of 1998. Pick a date, and it will become official!
