pomerian pet dog of 10 yrs fur colour change

dear doctor,
             my pet is 10 yrs old.he is cream colour but recently his front portion from chest to stomach thighs all have turned to dark pinkish brown colour.its very strange i have never heard of such case.it looks very bad as if he is not cleaned.its very embarassing.he has parasite in his blood for which i am giving him doxyvet 100mg tablets 2 times a day.is this the cause for such colour change?

I have to tell you, I'm not a veterinarian. Even if I was, your dog can't be diagnosed on line.

Does your dog lick himself a lot in the area that's become discolored? Many times areas of a dog's coat that gets licked a lot will develop a pinkish brown color, like you've described. If this is the case, you should have your dog examined by your vet to find out the reason for the itching. If you don't diagnose the cause for the licking or itching, you'd only be treating the symptoms, and there would not be a cure.
