pit bull 6 yrs old inflammed nipples

What is wrong with my baby. She is 6 years old never had a litter and away from male dogs. Her nipples (rear only) has become inflamed. Could it just be her menstrual?

Answer
She could be in season, she could be having a false pregnancy, she could be pregnant (unless you are *ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE* there have been no males near her), or she could have an infection. She needs to be seen by a veterinarian if you have never seen her like this before, as an infection could be serious.
