Question
Hello,
We got a morkie at 7 weeks old and she is real cute .  We  are puddle pad training , at least try to !!

She will go to the pad maybe two or three days in a roll and know problem then she may decided to poop some where she is not to go.????  Why does she do this.  She likes to chew instead of being cuddled like bitting........  now she has started puddleing when we come home from work or a stranger meets her for the first time.???  I crate her at night about 10PM and she is ok till about 6 AM that I understand.  Then she will run to her pad. I think she has held it as long as she can. How do you make a little girl understand NO chew.
Is it possiable that if she thinks she has gone on her pad more than once or so  it should be changed??
Thank you so much ......

Answer
Oh osh, just saw that Hio deliberately.LOL
Guuess all of it didn't get wiped out.
Sounds like that little girl found the best place she could be.
I won't say it sounds like you spoil her, because then I would be casting stones ate me too.LOL
that sounds like a really great arrangement for her.
Well, they are so sweet, and they give us so much love and devotion, how can we help it?
Will Rogers said animals are the best friends and teachers our children can have, for instance, a boy learns three things from owning a dog, love, loyalty, and to turn arounf three times before lieing down.
Children do learn more when they have pets, about life, and loving and trust, and a lot of things.
I slept with a pup or kitren all my life, and so did my children, and now my grandchildren, and none of os ever had nightmares about monsters in the closet, nor did we have beddy boos. We had a real live security in bed with us. din't need no blanket.
I wanted to give you a warning though, about the rawhide.
My Vet throws a fit if someone gives their dog rawjide.
He says better than half the emergency surgeries he performs are caused by rawhide, and most of the other because the dogs are given bones.
The larger pawhides can soften, and they can bite off a pice and choke on it. the hard flat strips, they can break off a corner and swallow it while it is still hard, and it can slice as it passes through the digestive tract.
Kong toys and NylaBones toys give the hard rubber they need for gnawing and pushing those little teeth through, and they can't bite off a pice, so they are safe to give them when they are going to be by themselves.

Hi deliberately;
GR, I wrote this all out, and apparently cklicked the wrong thing, and away it went.LOL
So here we go again.
First, I don't like crates.
I haven't used them, and never will.
I rely on training, and my dogs have the run of the house, and are less trouble than my four children were.LOl
I train mine to go outside, and have a doggy door for easy access for them. Training to a pad is done by the same principle. This is where you can go and nowhere else.
When she poops where she is not supposed to, if you know she is doing it deliberately, take her to it, show it to her, and scold her sharply, saying things like "BAD GRL!!! SHAME on you!!!
scold her while you are cleaning it up.
At her age, you WILL have some accidents.
Her organs are not fully developed so that she can have good control. Just like, why we  put diapers on human babies.
Sometimes she will have to go before she can get to her pad.
Soon after she eats she will have to move her bowels, and after she drinks, and immediately when she wakes, she will need to empty her bladder.
Watch her after she eats and drinks, and make sure she is close enough to the pad to get to it. then when she goes on it, praise her like she won an academy award.
8 hours is a long time for one that young to go without food or water. She needs 4 feeding in 24 hours, and she should have fresh water available at all times.
Holding her bladder for 8 hoursm and beating it to her pad, is really GOOD!!! Her little bladder must be about to burst.
the chewing. Biting is the natural way puppies play.
She has to be trained to play without biting.
Say, "No, be a sweet baby, and don't bite. when she keeps biting, say, no, we won't play if you bite. and stop playing with her.
She needs to gnaw. She is losing those little milk teeth and cutting new teeth. Her gums are sore, so she needs teething rings just like human babies do, to ease the sore gums, and to help push those new teeth through.
Kong toys and NylaBones toys are safe for her to gnaw, because they are hard enough to not bite off small pieces that can choke her.
You can play with her with sqweaky toys and tug toys, but don't leave her out of sight with them because she can bite off pieces that can choke her, but the NylaBones and Kong toys are safe for her to have in her crate at night.
If you are going to keep her in a crate, I would suggest you have one large enough to accomodate one of her pads, so she isn't forced to hols herself so long.
I have never used to pads, so I don't know how often they should be changed.
there are also litter boxes for dogs now, and there is a special litter for dogs.
You might look into those. I am sure you could find them on the web. and where in your area you can get them.
