My Golden

Question
When he is out on his chain in the yard running around, there are always flies biting his nose and sucking his blood from there as well.  He always seems to have bugs flying around him and bothering him, but my other golden doesnt have anything bothering him .... what is going on here??

It sounds like he may be in an area near a high fly spawning area, which is why he is getting bit more then your other chained dog. I highly recommend putting *both* dogs on flea and bug control (Advantix protects against fleas, mosquitos, ticks and other bugs) and spraying your yard with a good quality fly control. The nose needs to be treated with neosporin.

More importantly, and to really solve the problem once and for all, you can take the chains off your dogs and bring them inside. I'm sure they would be very happy to be free and be with the people they love! :)
