Great Dane scared of shadows

Yep, 1 year old neutered male, Gus. Sometimes, not always Gus will completely "lock down" because of shadows on the floor. We have tried just about everything, turning out the lights, putting more lighting on the floor, towels on the floor for him to walk on....his sister Katie has no problems with this at all. They are both house dogs, and in excellent health, any ideas? Thanks, Jim.

Dogs are individuals, that's the reason why Katie is oblivious to shadows, and Gus is freaked out by them.

You can desensitize Gus to shadows, so in time he won't react as strongly to them. Read about how to do that here:
