Golden Retriever Ear Problem

Question
Hi Lyn,
I am hoping you may have some advice for me in regards to an ear problem with my sister's 6 month old Golden Retriever. She is is good health otherwise, but has been diagnosed from her vet as having a yeast infection in her ears. The vet has her treating the ears twice a day with drops and now wants to take her off puppy food and go to an adult food that is vegitarian only and quite expensive.
The breeder does not agree with the treatment (as the ears never get to dry out ) and thinks the dog should stay on puppy food (as they grow so fast in this breed )

Can you help with any advice?

Thanks
Pat

Answer
First of, go to www.nzymes.com and call STAN (877-816-6500) and order some OXY DROPS (he may also recommend N'zymes).

Next, Call Back to Basics and CHANGE THE FOOD you are feeding . I recommend Back to Basics to my students who have dogs with Ear and skin problems it helps a LOT! NOT SCIENCE DIET BTW!
