Thin Hair on my Morkies ears

Question
I have a 3 month old Yorkie/Maltese mix.  He has very thin (or very short hair/peach fuzz)on the outer flaps of his ears- they feel like velvet.  He has hair around the edges of his ear.  His ears were like this when we brought him home when he was 12 weeks. I have had him checked by a vet and they ruled out any infection or allergy.  I have also had him seen by groomers and they all have said they have never seen such thinning on a puppy only on older dogs. I changed his food recently to Eukanuba puppy food.

Answer
Hello Yorba,

It sounds like your Morkie is lacking something in his system.  I suggest you put him on NuVet Plus an immune system builder supplement. www.nuvet.com/42299 Check out some of the testimonials on their website. You need that code to order as they don't sell to the general pubic. The food may also be an issue, since you switched him to Eukanuba tells me you are trying to do the best you can for him and that is great.  I personally don't recommend Eukanuba as it contains ingredients that are not suitable your dog health.  Such as Chicken By-Product Meal, Corn Meal, Ground Whole Grain Sorghum.  A better choice is Life's Abundance seen at www.pipschoice.com View the video 'The Truth about Pet Food.
