Answer
Hi Joanne;
I think it is just her age. She is still just a litle kid.
This little girl needs some basic obedience training. If you have a Petsmart or Petco store in your area, they have training classes on weekends.Some humane society chapters also have these classes. I like these classes better than hiring a professional trainer. I prefer to teach this kind of class. The owner handles the dog, and they learn to give the commands in the proper way to get the best results.
The dog gets the training from the owner, and U think they obey their ownners better.
These classes are a lot of fun, as well as beneficial.
I teach them on a 6 weeks coarse. You go once a week, and go through what you learned in class, each day of the week, at home.
Biting and jumping up os natural behavior for dogs to play, they just have to be trained to play the "people" way instead of the dog way.
I tell them "NO! Don't bite!" and stop playing with them if they are still biting after the 3rd time I tell them. With a few times, they learn "I have to mind, or they won't play with me", and they want the attention.

Same for jumping up. I say"NO! Don't jump up", and take their front paws and put them on the floor.

When they do mind, be sure to praise them profusily for being such a good dog, good girl, etc.

I would really get into one of these classes, if I were you. It is just so much easier, and the training goes so much faster, when you have a qualified trainer teaching a class, and the pwners are handling the dog.
They cost a little, but not as much as a trainer that just works with the one dog, and does the handling.
The cost is well worth it to have a dog that is a joy to all, rather than a little pest.
After the basic obedience, they are easily trained further, and you learn how to train a dog, so any dogs you have in the future, you can start out with the right kind of taining, and no more cost to you.
The training classes are a lot of fun too, for the handler and the dog, and the dog gets a sense of accomplishment. Having so much praise from their owner is what they want.
Feel free to write anytime you feel I can help.
