QuestionMy dog is in its first stge of labor right now! My bitch has had pups once before and we knew a lot back then. We forgot almost everything we learned last year. We bought a heating pad to keep the pups warm last year cause we had read it on a website. So we were wondering if you could tell us the teperature of the pups when they are born and what temperature we need to keep the heating pad. I need a quick response so I don't have time for a super long answer!! Thank you for understanding!!!!

AnswerHi
A heating pad can burn puppies. The mother should keep them warm enough if you have enough bedding (newspapers or blankets) If you need to take them away from her, then I would suggest getting the heating pads that you heat in the microwave and don't heat them to hot, but to warm. This way it wont overheat the puppies
