Yorkie potty training

Question

My Yorkie, Coco, is 1 a year old female that has been spayed. She has been trained to potty on puppy pads and has never had an accident when urinating. She has had some success in pooping on the pad but seems lately she goes to the pad but walks as she tries to poop resulting in missing the pad. Any suggestions welcomed, husband getting frustrated.

Alot of dogs have the walking poops LOL. It's very common. You can try making her a larger place, use more than one pad, or you can try putting her pads inside a fairly large litter type box. It's one of those things you are going to have to work around, as you really cannot change the habit.
