Allergies to dogs...

I'm very interested in getting a dog but my girlfriend is allergic. She does not seem to be bothered that much by the coat of the Wheaten Terrier however, and I was just wondering if you knew of other breeds with the same or similar coat characteristics?

This is a common question and i thank you for waiting over the weekend. As most people will know there are the three poodle breeds:toy, miniature, and standard. These dogs i find are some of the most if not THE most intelligent breeds. Although they often outsmart new owners. Many of the terriers are hypo-allergenic.They range in sizes and colors but share one thing, tanacity. They deffinetly have attitude. The bedlington terrier is one of my favorites. Instead of having a rough wiry coat its soft kinda like a poodle. There is also the schnauzers. These are three of my favorite breeds. Very smart, easily trained and very human-like. If you know what i'm talking about. Also, they are a great NATURAL watchdog(any size). Then there is the curly-coated retreivers(NOT "labradoodles"), Irish water spanials and the American water spaniels. These dogs are easily trained but i find that most sporting breeds are a little more sensitve than others. These are my main picks. Check them out yourself.They all have different personality traits so make sure you find the breed that most suits you. Good luck and lots of happy tail wags.
