Females First Heat

Me and my fiancee have an English Bulldog, and  male and female French
Bulldogs. The English isn't fixed, and the female Frenchy just started her first
heat cycle. How long does it last? And how soon after can we take her in to get
her fixed

Hi Jeremy,
some vets will spay a dog that is in heat and some won't.  You may want to ask your vet if he/she will.   This will save you some aggravation.   The heat cycle last 3-4 weeks depending on the dog.  I have heard of them getting pregnant as late as the 25th day.  The normal fertile time however is around the 11 to the 14th

PS  once she is out of heat you can go anytime to get her spayed.
