Potty Training ??

I just adopted a 5 yr old female yorkie.  Her owners claimed she was housetrained and I beleive them.  I have had her for two days and she holds her pee all day until I put her in the bathroom to sleep and then she pees in the night (obviously since she hasn't gone all day).  I plan on having her sleep with me or have free range of the house but I can't since she won't pee at all during the day and know she will go when I'm asleep.    I take her out ALL day long and she has never gone potty outside.  Is this nerves since she is in a new home.  Also they had a backyard and I don't so I have to walk her, could this be throwing her off.  If I could catch her in the act it would easier to address but since she holds it all day she goes when we go to sleep so I don't know what to do.  Any advice is helpful.

My dogs always had a yard to go in.  When I went to a dog show, I had to have them on leash.  They didn't go to the bathroom for three days.  Yes the leash is the problem.  go to the store and get an expen.  get two of them actually hook them together  and put her in there.  It will solve everything.  She is totally confused AND modest
