Rescued Stray

We rescued a dog with severe mange. She is considered a wild dog according to animal control.  The mange is much better but it has been 4 weeks and she still does let us touch her and hates for the backdoor to be closed. Some nights she stayed out in the cold rather than have the door closed.  How do we win her trust?  She plays with our other dogs.

What you can do is offer her little treats and pet her while you are giving them to her so she knows you won't hurt her-as for her not wanting to come in at night,what you do is to keep a leash on her and just try to walk her into the house,at first you might even have to drag her,but don't worry about that,she will get over it in time

Sometimes it just takes time-but trying this will help

Also taking her to dog training classes will actualy help bring her more confidence,so you might want to look into that,but wait about a month or so
