Hi Kirstin,
My name is Allison and i live in Pa. I have a Aunt Who lives on the same driveway as me and has a great pyrnese dog. sorry if i did not spell it right it is a big white dog. Me and my sister take it pee in the summer when we are off school. My Aunt leaves it outside during the day but as soon as she comes home from work, around 4:00PM, she puts it in and Sidney(the dog), other than to go pee and poop, will not be outside untill the next morning. We have read that that bread of dog needs to be outside and is the healthiest when outside. we try convincing her that taking Sidney in and out of the Ac and heat in the summer and winter is just hurting not helping her. are we right that she is hurting sidney by putting her in the house, or is she as healthy inside as she would be outside?
Thanks Allison
i am going to attach a picture of sidney

Answer
Allison,it really makes no difference of the health of the dog, based on the time it spends inside,or outside.and in fact it is usually better for dogs to be inside for the most part and many dogs rarely go outside, other than to go to the bathroom, and live perfectly healthy lives. In fact, many outdoor dogs face a number of health issues, such as sunstroke, frostbite, mange, fleas and ticks-as well as diseases carried by these pests. Now what a good idea might be is to take Sidney to the park at least once a week so she can have a nice run outside,or offer to take her on walks, those type of things are better then just leaving her in the yard-it gives her exercise as well as fun
