pea pods

are fresh pea pods ok for dogs and how much. Mine love them and I have noticed that they graze on grass quite a bit.  So I thought that the peas would be sufficient for them??

Hi Kathy,

Yes, fresh pea pods are safe to feed a dog. Grass is also safe for dogs, as long as it hasn't been treated with chemicals.

Your dogs probably won't understand that you're giving the pea pods as a substitute for eating grass, and might still try to graze when they're outside. You'd need to supervise them when they're outside, and offer a "correction" when you see them start to graze, if you don't want them to eat grass.
