Dogs tongue

Hi,my 5 year old DOG Indy has begun to cough/choke (sond) and its starting to happen more often.I noticed him making the odd coughing noise about a3 weeks ago,today he did it twice in 5 mins,thats when i noticed his tongue was a purplish colour,any help would be sooo appreciated,Dog lover DALE

a purple coloured tongue is certainly something to be concerned about, this means that your dog was not getting enough oxygen into its blood therefore suffocating.
You need to take your dog to a vet now! dont wait until it has another episode, take it now!
