Question
Hi

I bought some Wahl Stable Pro Clippers aprox. 3 yrs ago. I have used them on my cocker spaniel 3-4 times a year as I like him shaved down. He has very thick and curly hair. The last few times I have used them it has been a disaster as they are horrible and I have a hard time getting through his fur. I have had them sharpened once and they still do not work like they did when I purchased them. Since sharpening them I have only used twice. I paid $180 Canadian for them and was wondering on advice on whether I should buy an entire set of blades or get new clippers. I think they may not be working properly as when I got them sharpened they still did not work like they did when I bought them. If I buy another set what are your recommendations on the brand. Do I go with cheaper ones if I am using them 3-4 year. Or do I go with expensive ones again. I would appreciate any advice you can give me. Sincerely, Julie

Answer
Hi
Before you go spending money  contact  Wahl. It could be the armature that moves the blade needs replacing. They usually need replacemt and it is a cheap piece to buy. You will probably pay a lot less to send it back than to get a new one. So try speaking to Wahl first.
That is what I do when clippers don't work
Wahl is one of the best products you can buy so let them do what they do best before you give up
3 years is not  very long for the amount of use you have given it. Should last longer
Good luck and let me know how it works out
