Diabetic Dog

Question
Is canned Innova EVO Turkey & Chicken good for my diabetic dog?  I was feeding Merrick Grammies Pot Pie canned but she has grown tired of it and getting difficult to feed. I am also trying to cut back a little to help her lose some weight and I know EVO is high in calories.  Her sugar has been well regulated; she gets 2 Vetsulin shots each day. The EVO is grain free so should be good, but do I need to add a little high-protein dry food?  She is a 9-year-old miniature Dachshund.  Thank you.

Hello Pam , See if you can find the Innova Evo low fat canned food.
I believe they sell low fat.  It should be fine for her.
Also, a good supplement/ vitamin like NuVET is a plus.... Many diabetic doggies take 1 teaspoon of NuVET powder per day mixed into the dog food.
