Question
What can be done about an aggressive Westie...he is only aggressive when WE are eating a meal/snack.  If one of my children picks up a piece of food he literlly tries to attack them and will follow them around until all of the food is gone or put away.  I am able to put my hand in his bowl.  We do not feed him table food. He is fed once in the morning and again in the evening, and the bowl is removed after 30 min. I am at a loss of what to do I do not want one of my children being bitten as a result of him being aggressive.  Please help we want to keep him!

Answer
It may sound bad, but I would crate the little turd (excuse the language).  I'm sure you know how essential it is to not let him act like that.

His inability to have manners in this situation should get him nothing but being removed from being part of the family.

There are other things you may want to try, such as this tool:

You may also want to read through this traning technique that often helps when dogs are too big for their britches.

I hope this gives you some starting ideas, and I'm happy to offer others if you think these won't work.

Let me know how you make out
