Yorkie breeding

My female yorkie weighs about 6 pounds and my male weighs about 8 pounds, but is shorter in length and heighth than my female. Is it safe to breed them?

I see no reason why they would not be compatible.

That said, breeding and raising puppies is not as easy at it seems and you have a lot of homework to do in order to take proper care of your female and any puppies.

Remember there will be significant vet bills before the puppies are old enough to adopt out since they will need shots and worming, and the momma will need some extra care - and that's if everything goes perfectly well !

Your pets will live longer, healthier lives if spayed or neutered.
