Answer
dog thinning spots; canine bald spots;  NuVet Plus fur re-growth;

Hi Bridgette,  It does take some time for the hair to regrow.  You can add a few supplements to his food each day.
Try the following - good for overall health, skin, coat, hips, legs and joints:

PLEASE have your VET do a stool culture to rule-out any internal parasites.  This can also do damage to this skin and coat.  ( VERY common in pups)

Holistic food - GREAT for Poodles:
They have a great canned food and also dry kibble.
I do both - some dry and 1/4 to 1/2 of the wet ( canned food) ontop of the dry kibble.

1.  Ester C - Vitamin C is very helpful in this area- This is not a drug - You can give 250 mg per day. Ester C is easy on the belly.  You can find this at any Walgreens, CVS, or Walmart.

2.  NuVET Plus Supplement - GREAT for fur/hair regrowth!  This is a skin and coat healer.
This should be used long term as it helps all the Body's systems to stay health.
It also helps protect the immune system against diseases.
Not sold in stores: Call here - It's a powder or a WAFER treat.
The give you a TASTE guarantee- you dog will eat it OR your money back.

3.  Olive Oil ( pure olive oil) - Give 1/4 of a teaspoon per day -  do this for at least 30 days.
Just 1/4 teaspoon, mixed in to his food 1 x per day.

( you mentioned Yeast - If it is Yeast, the NuVET and Vit C will sure help)
You can ask your vet to do a skin scrape and look at the cells under a scope.
(~~~Microscopy fungal - skin scrape sample)
I don't think they charge much for this service.  They can rule out mites and other problems with this simple test.

Give the Supplements a good try - They will help keep this baby healthy.
If the area gets very red or HOT to the touch, call the VET right away.
