My dog ate half an easter egg

Hi There

I know this is probably a vetenary question but this morning my dog managed to get into the pantry and eat half of a white chocolate easter egg.

I know that chocolate contains toxins, particularly dark chocolate but he even ate the foil. He's an 11 week old lab.

Should I take him to the vets do you think or just give him plenty of water and watch him for the next 48 hrs?

If it was a large, solid chocolate egg, take him outside and give him an ounce of peroxide.  If he doesn't throw up in 15 minutes, give him another dose.  Otherwise, be quick to call the vet if he starts vomiting or diarrhea.  It take a huge dose of white chocolate to harm most dogs.
