Chocolate Lab 1 year about to have a litter

Is my dog too young to have puppies? We just noticed that she was looking a little plump and I think she is about to deliver. I wasn't ever aware that she had mated with any other dog. We were careful to keep her away. But who knows? I am worried that she may be too young. Is she?

Many people breed their dogs at a year, but my opinion is that it's way too young. She's not yet done maturing, so their could be health issues. The only way to know for sure whether she's pregnant would be to take her to the vet and have an ultra sound done. If the test shows she's not pregnant, be sure to get her fixed. Good luck!
